Fluoridation Fails America, New Report Proves

CNN Reports: "In more recent studies, fluoride in water was linked to a difference of decay in only about a quarter of a tooth, on average, according to the new report published this week.

“Adding fluoride to water may slightly increase the number of children who have no tooth decay in either their baby teeth or permanent teeth,” the study authors wrote. “However, these results also included the possibility of little or no difference in tooth decay.”

Fluoridation Fails Tennessee

Tennessee's fluoridation rate is 89%.  Fluoridation is approximately 80 years old, fluoride toothpaste 70 years old, now there's a glut fluoridated dental products. Our food supply is fluoride-saturated from fluoridated water use and fluoride-containing pesticide residues.

Dentists often brag they are the only profession promoting a prevention that would put themselves out of business. Besides that they are insulting every other health professional, this is the reality:

  • In 2022, Tennessee’s budget included $11.8 million to expand the class sizes at the state’s dental schools and to recruit and retain dentists through loan repayment programs.

Fluoridation Fails Kentucky

Kentucky where fluoridation is state-mandated "Some teens had decay so severe they had to have all their teeth pulled and be fitted with dentures. Middle school kids reported being unable to sleep because of pain from infected and abscessed teeth. First and second-graders required in-patient oral surgery under anesthesia because of the severity of tooth and gum disease."

"Adults don’t fare much better.

Kentucky ranks 49th in overall oral health and is among the top states in the number of toothless, older adults. And last year, a University of Kentucky oral health physician described to legislators patients being air-lifted to the UK hospital because of life-threatening infections from dental disease."

Fluoridation Fails North Carolina

North Carolina is 88% water fluoridated.

"Currently in North Carolina, nearly one in five kindergartners have untreated tooth decay"

Recent data shows there is an urgent need for attention to children’s oral health in North Carolina

  • The rate of untreated dental decay (cavities) among kindergartners is the highest observed in five years, indicating a concerning trend in oral health.
  • Disparities in oral health still exist, primarily affecting racially and ethnically marginalized populations.
  • Rates of treated decay and no decay experience are at their lowest, underscoring the need for proactive measures to reverse these trends.

Fluoridation Fails San Antonio, Texas

In water fluoridated San Antonio, "one in four children is likely to have tooth decay by the time they go to kindergarten in San Antonio, according to UT Health San Antonio."

"San Antonio needs more nonprofit clinics for low-income families, Salazar said, but it takes funding. For now, outreach efforts and the clinic are “doing something” in the community, even if the problems persist, she said.

'They’re coming in with rampant decay, just all over,” Salazar said. “In fact, that’s why they come, I’m seeing black spots on their teeth.”

Fluoridation Fails Wisconsin

Wisconsin is 87% fluoridated where 60% of third-graders have cavities which increased from previous years. This despite a free dental sealant program

“In Wisconsin, it is very challenging if you are covered by Medicaid to get access to dental care — even privately insured, or uninsured patients have a challenge in accessing providers, in particular in rural parts of the state,” he said. “Adding dental therapists to the dental team to work in collaboration with a dentist would increase access to care.”
